Huntington Woods - New Development in Lenoir, NC

Huntington Woods is a new home development located just behind Lowes Home Improvement off of Highway 321 in Lenoir, NC (Caldwell County). This new development already has road access and a few new homes built.

According to the News Topic, Ken Moss of Moss & Associates has been working with developer Hunt Broyhill on Huntington Woods, another boomer-retiree project.

Lenoir, like many western North Carolina locations, has become a destination for many Florida retirees. With cooler climates and higher elevations, having a home with a view like this is a definite advantage.

Beautiful Caldwell County...at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains

Caldwell County, in western North Carolina, is positioned just at the foot of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Many people visit this area to take advantage of the miles and miles of furniture stores and outlets.

Most of the major furniture brands, including Broyhill, Kincaid, Bernhardt, and Thomasville can be found along highways in Caldwell County. Although most widely known for furniture, Caldwell County has so much more to offer!

If you are in the mood for golf, Caldwell County has the Round Mountain Golf Club, Granada Farms Country Club, Orchard Hills Golf Club, and (shown here) Lenoir Golf Club.

After a relaxing afternoon playing golf, be sure to check out the T. H. Broyhill Walking Park. This location has a paved patch that is 0.43 miles around the track, and off-pavement trails through more scenic terrain. Great place to walk, meditate, read a book, or bring the dog for a jog!

Caldwell County has its very own vineyard, as well. During a visit to the area, you will want to visit Cerminaro Vineyard, in Boomer, to sample the local wine.

When you are ready to spend some time biking, walking, or running, you will want to visit the Lenoir Greenway, offering 7 miles of paved trails in a scenic setting.

If you want to learn about the history of Lenoir, the largest city in Caldwell County, then you will want to spend some time at Fort Defiance.

Downtown Lenoir is also a great place to spend time with friends and family. The historic buildings and outdoor art sculptures are a must see!

Finally, before you leave, you must schedule some time to explore Wilson Creek. This area is great for a picnic, fun with the pets and family, and hiking. During your visit, make sure you check out the South Harper Falls.
